Is there anything online that says what shows are sold out, or do you have to go to the box office to find that out?

Thanks!

Okay, now I've really made my final list. A couple of things may still come off though...

One thing that's still up in the air: for my scary movie, do I want to see Ils or The Echo? I'll want a buddy for either one, if they're actually as scary as I'm hoping they'll be. :D

And also, I don't know if I'll make it to Blood Tea and Red String on the 16th, so I might go to it on the 18th instead.

So, my schedule (parentheses mean it's still a bit tentative):

July 12th:
(Ils, 9:50)

July 13th:
A Chinese Tall Story, 5:15
Frostbite, 7:30

July 14th:
Storm, 7:40

July 15th:
Arthouse Ultraman, 9:30

July 16th:
(Blood Tea and Red String, 8:00)

July 17th:
The Wild Blue Yonder, 7:30

July 19th:
Lunacy, 7:30
(The Echo, 9:45)

Initial Impressions
The Descent was very cool. Excellent suspense, I was even disappointed when you started to see more of the monsters, because it ruined the suspense. Seven Swords was pretty nice as well.

There are two things that are bothering me this year though. Why is the basically no anime? Is anime too mainstream now for Fantasia, or vice versa? Also, didn't they say last year they were going to replace the seating in the theater? Well they didn't, and my ass is not pleased.

Movies I want to see
I spent most of this afternoon looking through the Fantasia schedule. Whee! But bloody hell, why do so many of the trailers have to be either flash or quicktime? I don’t have either at work and I’m not enabled to install stuff, even little things like that. *sigh*

Anyway, my list at the moment is way too long, but I’ll be whittling it down gradually. One really tragic thing, though, is that on the 22nd I’ll be at my parents’, and thus will miss Worlds Of Wounded Clay: The Films Of Robert Morgan, which includes the gorgeous Cat With Hands short that I love, and is preceded by The Torchbearer, a 25-minute stop-motion animated short from Jan Svankmajer's son, Vaclav! I will, however, make it to Lunacy, the new one from Jan Svankmajer himself. I’m very excited!

Others on my “definitely going to try to see” list (as opposed to the other 35 that are just “intriguing and would like to see”) include Arthouse Ultraman (Takeshi Miike does 2 of the 4 episodes!), Wild Blue Yonder (a “space oratorio” from Werner Herzog), and Frostbite (Swedish vampires!)

I also want to find at least one movie this year that REALLLLLY scares the bejeezus out of me, since those are hard to come by; my current options are The Descent, The Echo or Ils.

I really have to pare down my list though. :P Have you heard any reviews? Is there anything really outstandingly wonderful, or anything that really sucks?

Movies... anybody interested?
I'd be quite interested in Bittersweet life, Broken, Citizen Dog, Storm and Frostbite. (and many others but I won't have time)

Anybody else interested? If so, when would you go?

first impression?
IT'S ONLINE!!!! omgogmogmog I am beyond excited!!
The official program will be on sale this Friday, June 30th in stores and July 4th at Concordia's Hall Theater.

So what is your first impression of this year's schedule??
There are A LOT of movies!!! No animes though??
Also; free movies under the stars!

My first obvious choices; A Bittersweet life, Citizen Dog and The Red Shoes. I'm tempted by Bon cop, bad cop :P
I'm a bit disapointed that we didn't get The Host but hey :)

What about you??

Them
French horror-thriller Them (Ils) is scheduled to play at Fantasia this July.

Lucas and Clémentine, a thirtysomething couple, are expats in Romania. They live in an isolated house in the suburbs of Bucharest. Clémentine, a French teacher, and Lucas, a novelist, live in peaceful happiness. However, one evening in their house, everything is turned upside down. Rain is beating outside. The telephone keeps ringing... distant voices at the end of the line... incomprehensible. The couple are not alone. The nightmare begins. THEY are there....

For now, only the Korean website is up. You can still find trailers and stills on it, right here.
